Review:

Jolie loves to write in her journal. She is highly creative. Another thing Jolie loves is strawberries. When she asks her parents if she could grow her own strawberries, they felt she should wait until she was older and could manage the responsibility. Jolie shows them how responsible she was by doing chores, taking care of her pet bunny rabbit, and growing grass. She also sold lemonade to make money to buy strawberry plants. Jolie was determined and accomplished her mission. She was diligent in tracking her progress in her journal and making sure that the birds weren’t flying away with her berries. What else do you think Jolie was able to accomplish?

This colorfully illustrated book not only has a story that is engaging but also shares how readers can truly plant and care for a garden of their own. The back pages share valuable information about strawberry plants, integrated pest management and even what you can do at a U-Pick farm. Parents and teachers can use this as a tool to invite kids to the world of gardening.
