Review:

Are you ready for a journey back in time to a small village in Vermont? Welcome to the Return To Canterbury the sequel to The Christmas Village. Readers can brace themselves for another adventure that will take them back in time to the 1930's.

Back cover recap:
Things have settled down for thirteen-year-old Jamie Reynolds since last Christmas. That's when he time-traveled to 1932 and wound up in the town of Canterbury, Vermont. There, he met Kelly and Christopher Pennysworth, who quickly became his best friends. Back in his own time again, he misses them every day. But as the July 4th, 2008 holiday approaches, the biggest black cloud still hovering over Jamie's life is the mystery of what happened to his dad, who has been missing for almost a year.

In the present day, Jamie is friends with Kelly. It's a weird circumstance because when Jamie first met Kelly he was twelve and she was ten. Now, he is thirteen and she is eighty-six. When Jamie visited Kelly months earlier he noticed that she seemed distracted, even worried about something. On a more recent occurence Jamie visits his friend. They browse through old photos and discover that his father had traveled through time to Canterbury right after Jamie came back. That was the secret that Kelly had been keeping from him. Another photo shows Jamie in 1935. This can only mean one thing, Jamie will go back to 1930's Canterbury. He must find his dad and help him come home. The problem is figuring out a way to get back to Canterbury, finding his dad and then getting them both back to the present. But there are many questions. Is something keeping his dad in Canterbury? Perhaps another mystery will unfold.
