The Long-Lost Secret Diary of the World's Worst Knight

The Long Lost Secret Diary of the World’s Worst Knight
Tim Collins

Sir Roderick is training to become a knight. He’s so sure he will be the greatest in the land, even better than Sir Gawain and Sir Galahad, that he started writing down his steps to success story in a diary. He wants to make sure everything is documented so that readers in the future will have all of his exciting events right on the page.

At first his assignments are very spectacular, he was assigned to clean the pigeon poo from the side of the castle wall at Doddingford Castle where he stays. He also had to wash all of the flags around the castle too. He discovered that learning to use a sword wasn’t as easy as other knights made it look. Needless to say, becoming a knight doesn’t seem to be as glamourous as Sir Roderick had thought.

Author Tim Collins has created a hilarious read for any early chapter book or middle grade reader. Inside, readers will find fun black and white illustrations and Get Real fun facts that share life in the early days of kingdoms and knighthood. Parents and teachers can use this as a read-a-loud tool and to open up discussions about life, unfortunate incidents and enjoy sharing their own stories of mishap.
