Review:
Audrey liked to learn. She
asked plenty of questions and always had her nose in a book. She wanted to know
how things worked. Audrey decided that she would become an inventor and wasted
no time creating inventions to help her dad and pet cat. Her egg collector,
cat-a-pult and strawberry jam dispenser proved to be disastrous. But that didn’t
stop the ideas from coming. Hiding out in the shed, Audrey banged, clattered
and battered around. She created a cat wash that sent bubbling bubbles
everywhere. Audrey felt she was the worst inventor ever. Her Dad told her most
inventors don’t get it right the first time. She felt better and came up with
her best idea ever? What do you think it was?
This inspiring read is fun
and creative. It teaches kids to follow their dreams and never give up.
Cheerful illustrations share the fun inventions and what can happen when things
don’t go exactly as planned. Parents and teachers can use this as a tool to discuss
some of the famous inventors of our time and also get kids creating some cool
inventions of their own.
