Review:
Bruce does not like the
holidays. For him winter means hibernation. His little family of mice and geese
are very excited to celebrate Christmas and they want to share it with their
community. Before he shoveled the snow outside, Bruce put on his red long
underwear and was mistaken for Santa Claus by a little racoon. Soon the entire
community was knocking at his door and they called him Santa. They stood in
line to tell him what they wanted for Christmas and that they had been very
good. Bruce’s little family wanted him to go all the way and deliver presents
on Christmas eve. What do you think he did?
Author Ryan T. Higgins has
created another hilarious read in his series of Bruce the bear. Beginner readers
will chuckle while reading the simple sentences. Funny characters and plenty of
recognizable holiday objects makes this story perfect for a read-a-loud.
Parents, teachers and caregivers will enjoy sharing this for the holidays or anytime.
