The Cyclop Witch doesn’t scare
easily. She knows some pretty scary characters, like an ice troll, leprechaun
and a pumpkin head. But there is something that gives her the creeps and it’s
the Heebie Jeebies. These frightening characters make her shiver, quiver, or
twitch. One night, the Heebie Jeebies knocked on her front door and the witch
ran out the back door. Her big idea was
to lure them towards all the other scary creatures, so they could be scared
away. Do you think it worked?

and Derek Sullivan have created a hilarious spin on being afraid. Colorful
illustrations depict the characters in all their fright but not really.
Beginner readers will find the simple sentence structure easy to navigate. Parents
and teachers will have fun engaging kids by using this book as a read-a-loud
and can open up discussion on what each child is afraid of.
