Review:
Miss Pinkeltink gets around
her community quite well, although she has a big bag that she has difficulty
dragging with her. When she came around, her big bag ruined flower beds, caused
other things to topple over and even injured people and their pets. She
explained that her big purse carried everything she owned. But as far as the
community was concerned Miss Pinkeltink and her bag were a pest.
One day, people were in
need and Miss Pinkeltink came to the rescue. She rummaged through her bag and
handed out various items even if they weren’t an exact fit. This made everyone
happy. One little girl saw Miss Pinkeltink sleeping in the cold rain under a
tree and wanted to do something nice for Mis Pinkeltink. She gathered up the community
in preparation for a big surprise. What do you think they did?
This delightful story of
caring and helping those who are less fortunate will help young readers understand
the importance of looking out for one another. Vividly colorful images are fun
and readers can point out loads of recognizable objects. Parents, teachers and
caregivers can use this as a tool to teach sharing and caring.
