Don’t Read This Book Before Dinner shares with kids some stomach-churning
stories about foods, plants and animals. If you like gross stuff this book is
perfect for the imagination.
This guide has plenty of
warnings for the sensitive reader. But, if you like being grossed out this
guide has a lot of facts and stories that are informative about well known
things gross and disgusting. For example, before toilet paper people used moss,
leaves, snow and even stones to handle their business. Did you know that poop
has been used to make medicines? Not everyone likes the smell of fish, but that
doesn’t stop lots of people from eating it. Did you realize that dust is alive?
There is a special section that shares with readers how deadly dust can be.
There are foul festivals, sickening surgeries, dirty money and so much more.
Quizzes are included to test what you’ve learned.
Parents and teachers will
get a kick out of this guide too. There are colorfull illustrations along with
vivid photos that will get readers grossed out to the max but at the same time
mesmerized about what they can learn about familiar things that disgust.
