Review:

The Bumble Brothers twins Christopher and Walter seem to have a bit of trouble focusing, especially when it comes to their favorite comic book hero Frabbit. Their only objective is to get the latest addition so they can see whether or not their favorite hero has escaped from the dreaded and worst worm who ever lived, Wormo.

Unfortunately for the twins, who are easily distracted and full of shenanigans, there are a few obstacles that get in the way of their quest to get Frabbit before it is sold out. The first is they are tasked with going to the store to buy milk for their breakfast cereal. Secondly, when they arrive at the comic store there is only one copy left and they don’t have enough money. Thirdly, they encounter Harold, the infamous neighborhood bully. Can these two wildly imaginative brothers stay on track to get the last copy of Frabbit or will they just have to move on never knowing if their favorite hero escapes from the clutches of Wormo?

Author Steve Metzger has created a hilarious read for kids. With the collaboration of illustrator Brian Schatell, this graphic novel is packed with colorfully illustrated boxes that clearly show the action, emotions, and ideas of the characters. Young readers will laugh out loud at the situations the brothers get themselves into. Parents, teachers, and librarians can use this as a tool to get hesitant readers to want to pick up this fun, fast-paced read.
