Review:

In 1923 Roy and Walt Disney had an idea. Now, it’s the biggest entertainment company in the world. We all know Mickey Mouse but now we know and love so many other Disney characters. Prior to his Disney empire, Walt hand been laid off from work and even declared bankruptcy. His idea of Mickey Mouse stemmed from a previous mouse named Mortimer. From there Mickey Mouse was the first animated character with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

When Walt came up with his idea of an amusement park he had his young daughters and other families in mind. Walt would sometimes put on a desquise and walk around the park. The Disney brand as expanded into plenty of mediums. Young readers can learn about how Walt got his start, business terms, fun facts about his parks and so much more. The back pages have a Timeline and more resources for engaged learning. Parents and teachers will love sharing this guide to spark the entrepreneur spirit in children.
